Cupcake Tees

I finally received my cupcake t-shirts from CafePress.com and they are the best online store to buy any kind of t-shirt from! They have the cutest cupcake tees or any kind of tee you could possible imagine. I picked up two cute ones :)

Charlotte's B-day Cupcakes

It was Charlotte's 29 + 2 year birthday on the weekend (she hardly even looks a day older than 30), so I made her favourite peanut butter cupcakes with chocolate ganache sprinkled with chopped up pieces of Reese's peanut butter cups. I also took the opportunity to experiment with a new mint frosting topped with a chocolate cupcake, which was a hit with my boyfriend (although, he tends to like everything)!
Still on the hunt for THE perfect chocolate recipe, and will be trying a couple of recipes this weekend. To be continued.....

I'm on the hunt for the perfect chocolate cupcake recipe, one that's not too dense but yet still chocolatey, but not so chocolatey that it would take away from the icing on top. Am I being too picky? I don't know, but I'll let you know when I find the right chocolate cake recipe.

From the Beginning...

So I’ve been baking cupcakes since my birthday in January of this year because I got a beautiful apple red kitchen aid mixer for my b-day from my boyfriend and friends. They all pitched in to buy me the mixer I’ve been wanting for so long! I also got a cupcake book from my friend for my birthday and then it all started….cupcakes were being baked almost every week…mmm
